Dorothy Jahn (Botten) Myers was born in Montevideo, Minnesota to Almer Botten and Vernette (Jahn) Botten on December 15, 1938. She was the third of six children. Dorothy (Dottie) grew up in Montevideo where she attended school until her graduation at age 17.
As a graduation gift, Dottieās sister Bee, bought her a plane ticket to San Francisco, where she lived with Bee and her cousin Marilyn, until she married Gerald (Jerry) Dean Myers on July 30th, 1960. Dottie and Jerry had two daughters, Lynn and Cathy, before moving to Norco in 1964. After they moved to Corona they had two more children, Greg and Steve.
Dottie was primarily a home-maker, but her many hobbies, children and grandchildren kept her busy. She loved cooking, painting and crafts, reading, mowing, spending time with her family and friends, and was always ready for a good argument, or debate as she would call it.
Dottie and Jerry moved to their farm in Granite Falls in 2007, where they both lived until their passing.
Dottie is survived by her four children: Lynn (Myers) Snyder of Corona, CA; Cathy (Myers) Bailey of Granite Falls, MN; Greg Myers of Mesa, AZ and Steve Myers of Corona, CA; her four grandchildren: Shauna (Garland) Rios; Robbie Snyder, Danielle Bailey and Justine Angulo; and three great-grandchildren: David Rios, Faith Bailey and Aiden Byrne; her sisters Bee Heinemann and Ann Kruse and her brother, Bill Botten.
Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, Almer Botten and Vernette (Jahn ) Botten, her brothers Larry and Harry Botten, and her husband Gerald (Jerry) Myers.
