Dorothy Adamson

Dorothy Jane Adamson was born July 13, 1926 in Montevideo, Minnesota, the daughter of Louis and Bertha (Kling) Zempel. She passed away on February 15, 2010 at Valin Senior Care Assisted Living in Montevideo.Dorothy was baptized into the Christian faith at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo. She attended country school in rural Montevideo.On April 5, 1952 Dorothy was united in marriage to Kenneth Adamson at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo. To this union four children were born.After Dorothy and Kenneth were first married she worked at the Highway Café in Montevideo. She later worked for over 25 years as a custodian for ISD #129 retiring in 1991.She enjoyed visiting the community center; playing cards and bingo. In her free time, Dorothy baked, crocheted, embroidery, and worked puzzles.She is survived by her children: Orlando Adamson of Montevideo, James (Lois) Adamson of Kearney, Nebraska; Darlene Quigley of Montevideo, Nancy (Richard) Teichert of Maynard; grandchildren: Brandon, Austin, Angela Adamson, Ryan (Nichelle) Quigley, Sarah (Kevin) Norman, Nathan (Tanya) Adamson, Crystal (Chad) Bissett, Justin Teichert; great grandchildren: Dillon and Hunter Adamson, Kelsey, Anthony and Lexi Quigley, Britney and Brooklynn Quigley, Daytona Bissett,; Morgan Haaland and Isabel Norman; brother: Palmer Zempel; sisters: Florine Nordby and Bernice Goulson.She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 1991, her parents; brothers: Kenneth, Francis, and Robert Zempel; sisters: Grace Anderson and Gloria Hoff.
