Doris Mcdougald

Doris Marie (Peters) McDougald was born on July 23, 1934 in Havelock Township, Chippewa County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Heye and Fern (Quigley) Peters. Doris was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montevideo. She was married to Matthew Oliver Teidens, LeRoy Kenneth Negen and later married Dellie McDougald, Jr. in Chickaway County, Iowa on September 4, 1982. She lived in Minnesota, Iowa, and several other states before making her residence in Milbank, South Dakota. Doris enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, quilting, crochet, reading, and especially spending time with her grandkids. On Saturday afternoon, Doris lost her courageous battle with cancer. She died at the Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar at the age of 73 years. Left to cherish her memory are her 6 children: Shirley (& Doc) Halliday, Sharon (& Bob) Anderson, Sandy (& David) Macziewski, Steve (& Kay) Negen, Shelly (& special friend Steve Duis) and Stan Negen; 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; siblings: Evert (& Avis) Peters, Margie (& Jim) Negen, Heye Peters Jr. , Marvin (& Karen) Peters, Harlan (& Linda) Peters, Jerry (& Roxann) Peters as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents Heye & Fern, her husbands, son-in-law Richard Tweeter, granddaughter Rita Tweeter, grandson Derek Negen, and her brother Harry Peters.
