Donna Korstad, 66, of Granite Falls, passed away Monday, September 13th at the Clarkfield Care Center. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 17th from 1 to 3 pm at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home Chapel in Granite Falls.
Donna Jean Korstad was born June 8, 1955, the daughter of Douglas & Carol (Anderson) Peterson, in Granite Falls. She was a lifelong resident of Granite Falls. She served her community in many ways, including time spent on the Upper Sioux Tribal Council. She held various jobs within the community and enjoyed playing board games and visiting the casino.
Donna passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021, at the Clarkfield Care Center. She was 66 years of age.
She is survived by her children: Lenaya Korstad and Andrew (Tina) Korstad all of Granite Falls; grandchildren: Brennen, Courtney, Emma, Madison and Kara, Sheldon, Shayla, Elliot, Daniel Jr. and Amelia, Angel & Tristan; great grandchildren: Cano, Jaydom, Haizyl and Kevin; siblings: Jason (Teresa) Peterson of Belview and Carrie (Ken) Marks of Marietta, Georgia; several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Amelia & Elijah Peterson, father Douglas Peterson, daughter Jodi Korstad and brother Douglas “Buzzy” Peterson.
