Dinah Begay-Anderson, 58, of Granite Falls, made her journey on Tuesday, November 16th at the Hennepin County Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11am Monday at the Upper Sioux Multi Purpose Building. Visitation will be held on hour prior to services.
Dinah Begay-Anderson was born July 8, 1963, in Sisseton, South Dakota, the parents of Harold & Romona (Blue) Begay. At a very young age she was adopted by LeRoy & Helen Anderson. Dinah graduated from High School and attended college. She returned to the Granite Falls area in 1993. She was employed with the Upper Sioux Community and held various positions throughout the years.
Dinah made friends very easily and enjoyed being around people. She loved scrap booking, playing cards, keno and her favorite color was purple. She cherished her grandchild, Cedar and loved spending time with him.
Dinah is survived by her daughter, Elliana Romero (Sean Beckler) of Morton; grandchildren: Cedar Beckler, Davin Beckler and Dasan Beckler; daughters, Ahmya Duis, Lyric Duis, Angel Ross, Raymani Pacheco; significant other, Paul Smith of Granite Falls; siblings: Wanda Lee of Sioux City, Iowa, Phyllis (Bryan) Shadle of Atlanta, Georgia, Tim Blue of Granite Falls, Carol Kavaldski of South St. Paul and Tiffany Anderson of Coon Rapids; step-mother, Sheila Begay of Granite Falls and several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her adoptive parents; son, Alex and siblings: Elroy Anderson and Jane Larson
