Diane Margaret (Harguth) Coulter was born January 14, 1950, the daughter of Merle & Marie (Harms) Harguth, in Montevideo. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Clara Catholic Church in Clara City. Diane attended St. Clara Parochial School and graduated from the Maynard High School furthering her education at Willmar Vo-Tech receiving her Cosmotology degree.
Diane worked as a Cosmotologist in Montevideo in her early years. She was united in marriage to Wayne Coulter at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Montevideo in 1972. Together they raised three boys: Mitchell, Andrew, and Aaron. She was also a school cook in Grenora, North Dakota, babysat in Maynard, and worked at the Maynard Grocery Store. She worked at Impact Plastics until 2005. Diane kept busy helping family, and loved taking care of others until she was diagnosed with cancer. Diane was artistic and crafty, she enjoyed decorating her home for the different seasons and holidays. Diane's greatest joy was her grandsons, watching them grow and change in days made her smile.
Diane passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital. She was 66 years of age.
She is survived by her husband Wayne; three sons: Mitchell of Lakeville; Andrew (Kari) of Marshall; and Aaron of Maynard; three grandsons: Evan, Lane & Nolan; her siblings: Jerlyn Harguth and Dennis (Ruth) Harguth all of Clara City; father and mother in-law: Ralph & Lela Coulter of Montevideo; sister-in-laws: Joyce Harguth of Clara City; Ruth Ann Harguth of Maynard; and Lois (Mark) Soine of Montevideo; brother-in-law: Bob (Diane) Coulter of Rochester and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Wayne & Keiran Harguth.
