Dennis Halvorson

Dennis “Halvey” Halvorson was born on August 28, 1953, the son of Lloyd & Virginia (Olson) Halvorson in Clarkfield. He was baptized and confirmed at Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church in Hanley Falls. He graduated from the Granite Falls High School.
Dennis was united in marriage to Sherry Rahn on November 15, 1975 and was later united in marriage to Terri Iverson Kvendru on October 11, 1980. Dennis had many different jobs, but enjoyed woodworking and watching sports, but playing softball and bowling were his favorite activities.
Dennis passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at his residence in Fargo, North Dakota. He was 64 years of age.
He is survived by his children: Carrie (Ben) Albertson of Cottonwood and Robert (Sheree) Halvorson of Sacred Heart; stepchildren: Danielle (Aaron) Leighton of Rutland, South Dakota, Mike (Deb) Kvendru of Wood Lake, Stacey (Dustin) Csordacsics of Morgan; 6 grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; 4 great stepgrandsons; siblings: Linda Schindele of Granite Falls, Mike Halvorson of Minneapolis, Verle (Dot) Halvorson of Dassel and Dean (Joy) Halvorson of Granite Falls and extended family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Carly Jo Halvorson, brother-in-law George Schindele and great nephew John O’Neal.
