Delores Vizecky

Delores Ann Vizecky was born January 17, 1935 in White, South Dakota the daughter of Henry and Sadie Lambertus. She passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the Granite Falls Manor. She attained the age of 76 years. She was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith at Zion Lutheran Church in White, South Dakota.Delores grew up and attended school in White before she went on and received her teaching degree in Madison, South Dakota. She came back home and taught country school near White.On June 3, 1956 Delores was united in marriage to Eugene Vizecky at Zion Lutheran Church in White. To this union four children were born. Delores was a devoted wife and loving mother who raised her children while caring for the home as they lived in the communities of Bushnell, South Dakota and Hendricks, Minnesota. When Delores and Eugene retired from farming they moved to Granite Falls.She was a member of Bethany Elim Lutheran Church in Ivanhoe and was active in many church activities. Delores was currently an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Granite Falls. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, gardening, and working on jigsaw puzzles.Delores is survived by her children: Pamela (Donald) Odenbrett of Glencoe; Steven Vizecky of Hendricks; Patricia Forseth of Pipestone; Chad (Sarah) Vizecky of Belle Plaine; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and sister: Avis Vierhuf of Hendricks.She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene in 2005, and her parents: Henry and Sadie.
