Delores Ann (Byrd) Nokleby was born April 14, 1938 in Maynard MN, the daughter of Edna (Quast) and Norman Byrd. She was baptized at home and confirmed at Maynard Lutheran Church. She graduated from Maynard School in 1956. After graduation, she had various jobs until finally becoming a nurses aid at the Montevideo Hospital. It was there that she met Clifford Nokleby. They married in 1964 and she moved to the family farm north of Montevideo and settled in to country life. She had three children within three years and was kept pretty busy being a mom and farm wife. She moved back to Maynard in 1987 and worked at various jobs including being a CNA, baby-sitting, cleaning, and washing dishes. She moved back to Montevideo in 2012. She enjoyed walking, reading, watching old movies and classic TV. She also enjoyed cats, going for drives, visiting with friends and spending time with her family. She passed away Saturday, November 4th at the Montevideo hospital, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her son Delmont (Patricia) of Montevideo, Carla Anspach of Montevideo and Laurie (Brian) Hemish of Brainerd; grandchildren Samantha Nokleby of Montevideo and Jacob and Daniel Hemish of Brainerd; step grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; sister Marcella Oberg of Vancouver WA; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as her cat, Ursula. She was proceeded in death by her husband in 1987, her parents, her sister Marlus Groothuis, brother Dennis Byrd and her son-in-law Dean Anspach.
