Delores Bernice Blank was born January 3, 1934, the daughter of Ole & Clara Tofte, on a farm northwest of Louisburg. She was baptized and confirmed at Louisburg Lutheran Church by Pastor E.S. Belgum. Delores graduated from the Appleton High School in 1952. Delores was united in marriage to Palmer Blank on October 24, 1954, at the Louisburg Lutheran Church. They made their home in Montevideo where she worked for several years in the school cafeteria, as well as being a stay at home mom and wife. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church. She enjoyed baking and cooking for church functions as well as helping out as a substitute Sunday School teacher. Delores enjoyed spending time with her family, siblings, nieces and nephews and participating in family get-togethers. She enjoyed coffee time with her friends and loved growing flowers and tomatoes for everyone to enjoy. Delores passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012, at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital. She was 78 years, 10 months and 11 days. She is survived by her husband Palmer of 58 years, one son Jeff of Dawson and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Ole & Clara Tofte, one brother Orrin Tofte and three sisters: Eleanor Lund, Cora Lund & Lorraine Rau.
