Delilah Jeanette Day Kling was born on June 30, 1921, in Renville County to Bernard & Lela Day. She graduated from the Granite Falls High School in 1939.She was united in marriage to Henry Kling on January 20, 1940, in the parsonage of the Congregational Church. They moved to a farm southwest of Granite Falls in 1943, where she lived until moving back to Granite Falls in 2006.Delilah and Hank loved farming and being outdoors. They were both active in the FarmerÂ?s Union for many years. She was also active in the Granite Falls United Church of Christ until her death. She served the church in many ways. They enjoyed fishing and playing cards. Her family was very important to her and she kept up on the activities on all of them.Delilah passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at the Granite Falls Hospital. She was 89 years of age, just fifteen days short of her 90th birthday.She is survived by two children:Wayne (Lou Anne) Kling and Patricia (Jerry) Stone; ten grandchildren: Julie Maus, Carrie Anderson, Shari Kottke, Butch Paskewitz, Susan Westbrook, Mike Kling, Mitch Kling, Matthew Kling, Monica Long and Shawn Lewis; 23 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Henry in 2001; daughter Barbara Falk in 2003 and grandson David Falk in 1978.
