David Wolner

David Gene Wolner was born April 27, 1952 in St. James, Minnesota the son of Gene and Donna (Morgan) Wolner. He passed away July 30, 2017 at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital.
He was baptized at Augustana Lutheran Church in St. James and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye. David grew up and attended school in Sleepy Eye graduating with the class of 1970.
In 1971, he was united in marriage to Patricia Shaul. He would later meet his longtime love, Kathy, and make his home in Montevideo.
David enjoyed music, Fox News, old Western movies, and going camping and sitting around the camp fire. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his girlfriend and longtime companion, Kathleen Hegge of Montevideo; children: Tony Wolner (Jody) of Winsted, Nick (Heather) Wolner of Redwood Falls, Cayla (Nate) Lund of New Ulm; brother: Tom (Kristy) Wolner; sister: Pat (Mike) Walling; grandchildren: Daniel, Austin, Hayden, Tristyn, Kylie, and Austin; and other extended family and close friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Donna; brother: Bob Wolner and granddaughter: Aubryn.
