David Schmidt

David Paul Schmidt was born on November 20, 1956, in Montevideo, the son of Paul and Lois Schmidt. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and graduated from Montevideo Senior High School in 1975. Dave lived in Montevideo all of his life. He was in the painting business with his father and continued as a self-employed painter following his father's death. He was also employed by Claire Paint & Wallpaper in Montevideo. Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his friends and family. He loved his dog and was rarely seen without his canine companion, Abby. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.During these most recent years, Dave had been experiencing numerous health related problems. He passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, December 18, 2011, at the age of 55 years.Surviving family include his sisters- Barb (& David) Agnew of Tetonia, ID and Jackie (& Jerry) Johnson of Upsala, MN; his brother- Don (& Donna) Schmidt of Plymouth, MN; 8 nieces & nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
