David Goebel, 66, of Montevideo, passed away on Saturday, March 12 at CCM Health. Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 21st at 11:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 5 to 7 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church and continue one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. The family would appreciate if masks were worn during the visitation and service.

David Richard Goebel was born May 1, 1955, the son of Richard and Eileen (Hodapp) Goebel in Mankato. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. He graduated from St. Clair High School and continued his education at Mankato Area Vocational Technical Institute.
Dave was united in marriage to Debra Hauert on October 27, 1973, in North Mankato. They moved to Montevideo where he went to work for Kibble Equipment. They joined St. Paul Lutheran Church and he was confirmed there in May of 1977. He was active with the church and spent time on the Properties Board. Dave was involved as a Boy Scout Leader for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycle trips and spending time with family at their lake cabin in Nevis. He loved time spent with his grandchildren. Dave and Deb loved to travel and enjoyed many trips through his work, their trips to Maui and numerous long weekends on the bike. He was very family oriented and was always there to help out and could fix just about everything. Dave retired from Kibble Equipment in 2021, after 45 years of service.
Dave passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at CCM Health. He was 66 years of age.
He is survived by his wife Deb, children: Amie (Paul) Kindsfater, Jeremy (Becca) Goebel and Christina (Josh) Oye; grandchildren: Carter Goebel, Olivia Oye, Zachary Goebel, Vincent Oye and Anthony Goebel; siblings: Greg (Dawn) Goebel, Dan (Sue) Goebel, Tim Goebel, Paul Goebel, Lisa (Jay) Rempfer, Jim (Nicole) Goebel, Mark (Stacie) Goebel and John (Carol) Goebel; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Michael Goebel, mother-in-law Evangeline Hauert-Landaas and his fathers-in law Ruben Hauert and Oscar Landaas.
