David Erickson

David William Erickson was born on January 16, 1942, in Minneapolis, the son of Leroy M. and Viola M. Erickson. He grew up in the Minneapolis area. After graduating from high school, David began a long working career in the construction field. David was a hardworking man and in his free time he enjoyed riding horses and his mules. As a young man he enjoyed hunting and he cherished the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, his great grandson and friends. He was called from this life following a brief illness, while a patient at the Chippewa County ? Montevideo Hospital on Sunday, October 20, 2013. He was 71 years of age. He is survived by his three daughters- Karen (& Richard) Hewitt of Clarkfield, Emily Erickson & Brandy Erickson, both of Ogilvie; three sisters- Joann Lietzke of Coon Rapids, Barbara Jarmuzek of Vancouver, WA and Shirley (& Ralph) Adamson of Elk River; one brother- Richard (& Sharon) Erickson of Ham Lake; two granddaughters- Allison Lindberg and Cheyanne Fifield both of Clarkfield; two grandsons- Brandon Johnson of Clarkfield, and Slevin Jon Erickson-Stubbs of Ogilvie; one great grandson- Reid Parker Jewell of Clarkfield and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother- James A. Erickson and a sister- Marion Erickson.
