Darryl Lynn Busenbark was born July 10th, 1965, in Tacoma, Washington to Rick and Susan Busenbark. His family moved to Reno, Nevada when he was 4 years old and he attended school there and graduated from Reed High School. He was a good student but excelled in sports. Football was his sport and he was an amazing athlete. He was also on the wrestling team.
After graduation he moved back to Washington State and married Doreen Hanson. They had 4 beautiful daughters. Alexis Leann Busenbark, Ashleigh Marie Busenbark (Neuman), Michaela Lynn Busenbark, and Brooklyn Kay Busenbark. His daughter Michaela lost her young life in a car accident in 2012 and I don’t think Darryl ever recovered from the loss. He worked in Granite Falls, MN and his career mostly involved maintenance and working on equipment. He loved collecting and started as a child, collecting baseball cards, stamps, boxes, rocks, Coca Cola and loved antiques and anything old. Darryl loved fishing and that’s where you would find him in his free time.
Darryl loved deeply, always kind, loved his family, gave people a roof over their head when they had nowhere to go. Darryl is survived by his grandmother Evelyn Heggen, mother-Susan Shelley/stepfather Michael Shelley, father-Rick Busenbark, brother, Erik Busenbark and his wife Heidi, 3 beautiful daughters; Alexis Busenbark, Ashleigh Busenbark (Neuman) and Brooklyn Busenbark. He also leaves behind 3 granddaughters; Allie, Kimberly and Hartley Neuman. Aunts and uncles; Mike and Barbara Patrick and Dennis Busenbark. Cousins Robin Nichols, Julie Martinez, Toni Aragon, Scott Resop, Shawn and Todd Busenbark, and nephews Trevor, Blake and Jesse Busenbark. Darryl was very family oriented and loved them all deeply.
