Cindy Fagen, age 73, of Montevideo, died Thursday, September 19, 2019 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Graveside Service will be held Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Wang Lutheran Cemetery in Maynard, Minnesota.
Cynthia Diane Fagen was born April 26, 1946, in Granite Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Holmes and Lillie (Haugen) Fagen. At a young age, Cindy suffered an injury that changed her life and she became a resident at Cambridge State Hospital until 1973 then moved to Willmar Regional Center. While living in Willmar she worked at Arrowhead Industries. Cindy moved to Marshall in 1992 and started working at the Lyon County D.A.C. She later moved to Montevideo in May of 2004 where she work for Chippewa County Enterprises.
Cindy, who introduced herself as “Meme,” loved to sing and Jesus Loves Me was her favorite. She enjoyed sweet things, candy being a favorite and angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream was her birthday special treat.
Cindy is survived by her brothers, Richard (Elaine) Fagen of Granite Falls, Robert (Sandy) Fagen of Dent, Larry (Diane) Fagen of Sacred Heart and Michael (Phyllis) Fagen of Montevideo; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Holmes and Lillie Fagen; numerous aunts and uncles.
