Connie Hall, age 78, of Granite Falls, Minnesota passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Funeral Service will be held Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 3:00 PM at The Refuge Church in Montevideo. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
Constance Ruth Claudius was born to Robert and Elaine Claudius on November 19, 1945, in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from high school in Covina, California, and earned her degree in special education from California State University, Fullerton.
Connie married Jon Hall, with whom she shared many years and raised their beloved children. She was a devoted follower of Jesus, dedicating her life to serving and loving others. Connie worked as a special education teacher in various school districts before settling in Granite Falls. She also worked at Project Turnabout as a cook, served as a substitute teacher, and cared for vulnerable adults. When asked why she continued to work, she often replied, “Because I can, it is easy, and I want to leave something for my family.” She was actually at work when the heart attack occurred.
Connie loved Jesus, her church, quilting group, and prayer group. She was immensely proud of her family, and they felt her unwavering love. She was a beautiful example of Christ-like love to all who knew her. Though her passing is a shock to us, we rejoice in her arrival to her Heavenly home.
Connie is survived by her siblings: Stephanie (Frank) King, Gary (Nereida) Claudius, and Vicki Claudius; her children: Clifford Hall (partner Nichole), Vanessa Torke (Chad), and Derek Hall; her grandchildren: Chloe (partner Sean), Faith, and Ryder Torke, Sophia, and Viktor Hall, and Caden Hall; and her great-granddaughter: Dakoda Thygeson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband and dear friend Jon Hall, and her son Brandon Hall.
