Chad Stock, age 51, of Montevideo passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024, at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, June 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Montevideo American Legion. Visitation will be held one hour before the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are respectfully preferred.
Chad Lee Stock was born on November 13, 1972, to Gary and Peggy (Weedman) Stock in Appleton, Minnesota. He was baptized on October 27, 1973, and he graduated from Montevideo High School in 1991.
Chad was a very hard worker and worked many different jobs through the years including Construction Coating Specialties for 25 years, Ice Castle, and Lauriston Septic & Drain. He was a big Minnesota Vikings fan, but also enjoyed wrestling, softball, basketball, and hockey. Chad also liked to spend his time going deer hunting and summer and ice fishing. He fought a courageous battle of stage four terminal pancreatic cancer for over a year.
Chad is survived by his fiancée, Hilary and her children, Katelyn & Brayden and grandchild, Everly; his son, Landon; siblings, Jennifer (Wayne) of Sioux Falls and her children, Kaylee & JT, Christy of Montevideo and her children, Dylan & Tanner, and Jeremy (Amy) of Woodbury and their daughter, Sasha; his mother, Peggy of Montevideo; as well as other extended family and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
