Celestine (Klimek) Ley was born in Millerville, Minnesota on August 8, 1925 the daughter of Anton and Caroline Klimek. Sally was raised in the community of Long Prairie where she received her education. On September 24, 1946, she married Servulus Henry Ley at the St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church in Long Prairie. Their union was blessed with four children. The family moved to Clara City in 1954. In addition to raising her family, Sally was an active member of St. Clara Catholic Church and a recipient of the Bishop's Award. After the passing of her beloved husband in 1986, Sally remained in Clara City until 2008 when she moved to the metropolitan area to be closer to her family. On Sunday morning, May 29th, 2011 at the age of 85 years, Sally died peacefully while under Hospice care. Cherishing her memory are her children: Robert and his wife LuAnn of Minneapolis, Daniel and his wife Linda of Mounds View, Joyce Medrud of Eagan, Janet and her husband Simon of Bloomington; grandchildren: Lindsey & Tony, Brady, Kyya, Miranda & Aaron, Daniel II & Jess, Jessica, Eric & Anabel, Amber, Michael, Elise, Calvin; great grandchildren: James, Celestine, Samuel, Haley, Aubrey, Sophia, Freya, and Evelynn; along with many extended family and friends.Sally was preceded in death by her husband Servulus, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
