Carolynne Fritz, 81 of Clara City, died Thursday, May 14th at Luther Haven Nursing Home. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 20th at 11 am at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Carolynne Marie Fritz was born September 25, 1938, in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of John & Mildred Harden. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She graduated from the Woodrow Wilson High School in Los Angeles.
Carol was united in marriage to Gary Fritz on August 7, 1955, in Yuma, Arizona. To this union five children were born. They raised their children and made their home in California. Carol worked for North America Aviation and also Pillsbury Company while living in California.
In 1968, the family moved to Clara City and Carol began working at the American Legion, CJ’s, Sacred Heart Liquor Store and the Casino. She was a former parent Cub Scout leader and past President of the American Legion Auxiliary. Carol enjoyed playing bingo and loved spending time with her family. She cherished her grandchildren.
Carol passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020, at the Luther Haven Nursing Home. She was 81 years of age.
She is survived by her children: Steven (Dee) Fritz of Spooner, Wisconsin, John (Kathy) Fritz of Clara City, Eric (Stephanie) Fritz of Tea, South Dakota and Gaelynne (Jeff) Vanden Bosch of Lake Wilson; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gary, son Edward and her siblings: John, Bobby and Kate.
