Carmen Valenzuela Profile Photo

Carmen Valenzuela, age 55, of Clara City passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025, at her home. A Celebration of Life will take place Friday, April 11, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Granite Falls Assembly of God Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Carmen Valenzuela was born on March 26, 1970, in Orange, California, the daughter of George and Victoria (Alonzo) Valenzuela. She grew up in California and graduated from Garden Grove High School in 1988 after setting the school record in discus and shot put. As a young adult, Carmen was born again in Christ with her family and baptized. Carmen was the oldest of three children and took her role to heart and always looked out for her sister and brother.

After graduation, Carmen started working, mostly in security which she did for many companies through the years. She also worked at Arby’s and she was known to mimic menu items and wrap them up as she would at work.

In 2005, Carmen became a mother to Georgette in California. She later moved to Las Vegas and eventually Minnesota in 2016. Carmen had a loving heart and her favorite way to express this was to share with others her cooking and baking. And being a fantastic cook, this was widely appreciated. She had many hobbies including crocheting and making detailed jewelry.

Carmen is survived by her daughter, Georgette Valenzuela of Clara City; brother, David Valenzuela of Clara City; as well as other relatives and friends.

Carmen is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Georgia.
