C. Welsh

Clara Jayne Welsh was born on September 28, 1921 in Charles City, Iowa the daughter of James and Josie Kerr. She passed away October 28, 2011 at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo. She attained the age of 90 years.Jayne grew up and attended school in Minneapolis and graduated from West High School. In 1946 she was united in marriage in Minneapolis to John "Jack" Welsh. To this union two children were born. The couple lived and raised their family in Minneapolis and Grand Forks, North Dakota, before moving to Montevideo. Jayne worked at First National Bank in Montevideo for several years. She was a member at Our Saviors Lutheran Church staying active with WELCA.Jayne loved to play cards and other games with her family and friends. She was a wonderful hostess who enjoyed having guests in her home.Jayne is survived by her son John (Ginny) Welsh of Greenville, South Carolina; and other extended relatives.She was preceded in death by her husband Jack in 1992; daughter: Sandy Welsh Anderson; brother: Jim, and a sister Louise.
