Burnet G. Aase was born June 16, 1924 in Clarkfield, Minnesota the daughter of Basil and Genevieve Johnson. She passed away Tuesday July 13, 2010 at the Madison Lutheran Home in Madison, Minnesota.Burnet was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith at Clarkfield Lutheran Church. She grew up and attended school in the Clarkfield area graduating from Clarkfield High School with the class of 1942. After high school Burnet attended Minnesota School of Business and graduated in 1946 with a bachelor's degree. She moved to Washington, D.C. and worked at the Pentagon, and continued her work with the government working as a medical secretary for the V.A. Hospital in Minneapolis. She was united in marriage to Alden Aase in Valley City, North Dakota. To this union, one daughter was born. They made their home in Bemidji, Minnesota. Burnet worked at the Beltrami County Courthouse. Alden passed away in 1967 and Burnet moved back to Clarkfield. She was a member of Bergen Lutheran Church and in her free time she liked to bake cookies and sew clothes. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Burnet is survived by her daughter Kathy Johnson of Montevideo, Minnesota; grandchildren: Jessica Aase of Montevideo, Minnesota; Jennifer (Mario) De Jesus of Montevideo, Minnesota; Everet (fiancée Kayla) Nelson of Wood Lake, Minnesota; great grandchildren: Lilya Aase, Emma and Gavin De Jesus, and Karson Nelson; sisters: Myrtle (Richard) Osmundson of East Grand Forks, Minnesota; Virginia Johnson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Orda Reiten of Minneapolis; brother: Mentor (Donna) Johnson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her parents Basil and Genevieve, husband Alden in 1967; brothers: Robert, Gene, and Eddie Johnson; brother-in-law: Arden Reiten.
