Brian Kvanli

April 23, 1954 — June 23, 2008

Brian Wayne Kvanli was born in Montevideo, Minnesota on April 23, 1954 to Arvid and Vera Kvanli. He graduated from Montevideo High School in 1972 and served his country in the United States Air Force for 4 years. After he finished his years in the service, he returned to Montevideo. Brian married Ruby and later adopted her daughter Monique. In 1980 he moved to Albuquerque New Mexico. He married Sharon who had three children and they became like his own. He worked his way up the ladder with his job at Intel and had a very promising career with them until his health began to fail. Brian had made very many good friends in Albuquerque over the years, including his very special friend Sharon, and very special friend Steve. They, along with his other friends were always there for him as he struggled with his health over the years. They became like his family to him and were always there for him. Brian loved the outdoors. When he was young, he loved to fish and just enjoyed being outside. He also had a great love for entertaining friends, barbequing, playing music and making people laugh. He made sure they had a good time. Although Brian struggled a long time with his health, he never complained. He always said Â?it could always be worseÂ?. He endured more than most but handled it with his faith in God. As Brian grew older, his faith became stronger. He talked about it often and is now at last in his heavenly home with his father Arvid. He died on in the early morning hours of Monday, June 23, 2008 while a patient in the VeteranÂ?s Hospital in Albuquerque. Cherishing his memory are his three brothers and sisters: Joni, Lee and Cheryl; many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. His mother Vera is living at Luther Haven in Montevideo with AlzheimerÂ?s. Brian has left a large hole in our hearts but has taught us a lot about being strong, and making the most out of life, not taking things for granted. Brian was preceded in death by his father Arvid and his fraternal and maternal grandparents.
