Bradley Boraas

June 13, 1965 — December 26, 2011

Bradley Amer Boraas was born on June 13, 1965, in Montevideo, the son of Amer and Virginia Boraas. He was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson on August 1, 1965 and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Grace Lutheran Church on October 22, 1980. He attended and graduated from high school in Dawson and received his post high school education at Canby Vocational Technical College.On May 19, 2007, Bradley was united in marriage to Juliane Evonne Sturm at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City. Bradley was a welder at Par Piping & Fabrication in Granite Falls and enjoyed all sorts of outdoor activities throughout the year, including hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He was a member of the Snow Drifters Snowmobile Club and Immanuel Lutheran Church. He loved spending time with his children and family and was especially fond of his pets.In the morning hours of Monday, December 26, 2011, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer and surrounded by those he loved, Bradley was peacefully called from this life at his residence. He was 46 years of age.He is survived by his wife Juliane of Gluek; his step-son Nathan Sturm of Willmar; daughters Alyze Boraas of Sartell and Alexandra Boraas of Clara City; his son Tyler Boraas of Clara City; his mother Virginia Boraas of Dawson; brothers Terry (& Karen) Hermanson of Baxter, Kenneth (& Terri) Hermanson of St. Cloud and Robert (& Pam) Boraas of Benson; his Godmother/cousin- Sally Groothuis of Montevideo; an aunt- Violet Haff of Montevideo; an uncle- Beaumont Boraas of Madison, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.Preceding Bradley in death were his father and several aunts & uncles.
