Blenda Alstad

Blenda Alstad was born November 11, 1915, to Thomas & Mary (Soine) Strand in rural Sacred Heart, Wang Township. She was baptized and confirmed at Wang Lutheran Church of rural Maynard. She married Conrad Alstad on April 23, 1934, in the Methodist Parsonage in Montevideo and to this union three children were born.
Blenda was called to our Lord’s Heavenly Kingdom from the Granite Falls Health Care Center in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 20, 2017, at the age of 101.
She is survived by her sons: Ronald (Bonita) of Buffalo and Terry (Donna) of Granite Falls; six grandchildren: Tamara Rutherford, Ronita Siverhus, Kari Alstad, Amy Amundson, Jennifer Alstad and Jessica Alstad and six great grandchildren.
Blenda was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas & Mary; husband Conrad; daughter Mary Jo; five brothers and four sisters.
Blessed be her memory among us.
