Betty Stegeman

Betty Lou Stegeman was born May 6, 1927 in Montevideo the daughter of Martin and Mary Erickson. She passed away Tuesday afternoon at Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital.She was baptized and confirmed in to the Christian faith at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Betty grew up and attended school in Montevideo.On December 28, 1946 Betty was united in marriage to Harold Stegeman at St. Joseph Catholic Church. To this union four children were born.Betty was a devoted wife and caring mother taking care of the family's home. She was also a part of the farming operation with Harold helping with several farm chores. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed family get togethers. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Betty is survived by her children: Gary (Jeanette) Stegeman of Willmar; Rick (special friend Lavonne) Stegeman of Montevideo; Kevin Stegeman of Montevideo; Karen (Gregg) Enevoldsen of Montevideo; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold in 2011; her parents: Martin and Mary; sister: Margaret Montange; brothers: Delos Erickson, and Dorrance Erickson.
