Betty Lou Marion Jaenisch was born April 8, 1946, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Schaack) Jaenisch in Clara City. Betty was baptized and confirmed at St. Clara’s Catholic Church in Clara City. She attended school in Clara City where she graduated in 1965.
Betty was united in marriage to Richard Lovhaug on November 21, 1971, at St. Clara’s Catholic Church in Clara City. The couple together made their home in Montevideo. She worked for Barwick Manufacturing and in later years she worked at the Montevideo VFW. Betty was a member and also past president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Montevideo.
Betty loved traveling to country and folk music festivals in Minnesota. She also enjoyed playing bingo with all her friends. Betty liked to sew, embroider and make many crafty items.
Betty passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at CCM Heath Hospital in Montevideo.
Betty is survived by her brothers, George (Ann) Jaenisch, Paul (Sandy) Jaenisch all of Clara City; sisters-in-law, Christa Jaenisch, Val Jaenisch; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elizabeth Jaenisch; her husband, Richard; siblings, Clarence Jaenisch, Vincent Jaenisch, Greg Jaenisch, Charles Jaenisch, Ervin Jaenisch, Delores Emmen, Mary Schlagel, Gene Jaenisch, Bill Jaenisch, John Jaenisch and Danny Jaenisch.
