Arnold Roland Jaenisch was born March 6, 1942 in Montevideo, the son of Carl and Verdine Jaenisch. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City. Arnold grew up and attended school in Clara City and graduated from the Morris Agriculture School in 1960. On December 4, 1971, Arnold was united in marriage to Chereen Rand at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City. To this union, three children were born. The couple made their home and raised their children on their family farm. Arnold farmed his whole life. He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends, and playing cards, especially buck euchre. Arnold enjoyed traveling with his wife and he would take the family on fishing trips to local lakes. He also enjoyed hunting with his children. In his later years, he was a hospice volunteer. Arnold is survived by his children: Mike (Becky) Jaenisch of Olivia; Susie (Kurt) Stranberg of Maynard; grandchildren: Kyle, Mitch, Amy, Erica, and Riley; sisters: Ruth Morgan of Easley, South Carolina; Nancy Wilson of Great Falls, Montana; Rosy (Dennis) Sulflow of Maynard; brother Rodney (Tammy) Jaenisch of Clara City; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Verdine; wife Chereen; son Randy; and two grandchildren in infancy.
