Ardys Johnson

Ardys Marie Johnson was born on January 1, 1929, in Kandiyohi County, MN, the daughter Edward and Edythe (Johnson) Beck. She grew up on the farm and attended country school. Ardys graduated from Willmar High School in 1947. She then attended North Central Bible College.
On June 22, 1973, Ardys was united in marriage to Wally Johnson at the Assembly of God Church in Willmar, MN. They made their home in Granite Falls where Ardys worked at the Granite Falls Bank for many years. Prior to her marriage, Ardys was employed at 1st Federal Savings in Willmar, the Dairy Queen Headquarters in Minneapolis and at a nursing facility in Glenwood, MN.
Ardys enjoyed tending to her flower garden and maintaining her home and lawn. She also participated in numerous church and community activities such as the ‘Dinner at Your Door’ program. She was a kind, caring woman who loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her sisters, Lois (Gale) Dahlager of Granite Falls, MN, Eunice Jelley of Olivia, MN; sisters-in-law, Olive Beck of Willmar, MN, Irma Schulte of Granite Falls, MN, Ardy Johnson of Montevideo, MN; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband (in 1994); a brother, Jim Beck; sister, Audrey Lee and brothers-in-law Don Jelley & Chester Lee.
