Anna Verchell

Anna Sophia Vechell was born November 30, 1911, the daughter of Adolph & Sena Benson in Twin Valley, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Emil Bechtel in 1933, and to this union one son, Sidney, was born. Emil passed away in 1945. Anna enjoyed arts and crafts such as ceramics and painting. She also spent time making afghans. Anna had a very strong faith and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who affectionately called her GG. She was united in marriage to Daniel Vechell in 1955, and he passed away in 1986. Anna passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2008, at the Granite Falls Hospital. She was 96 years old.She is survived by her son Sidney (Shirley) Bechtel; three grandchildren: Stephanie Bechtel; Stacy (Charles) Smith and Scott Bechtel; two great grandchildren: Amanda Bechtel and Storm Bechtel; sister, Esther Norem; two sisters-in-law: Jennie Benson and Neva Benson and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband's Emil and Daniel, seven brothers and three sisters.
