Anna Augusta Teichert Glynn Ulferts was born April 10, 1922, the daughter of Fred & Gertie (Berends) Teichert, in Rheiderland township, in Chippewa County. She was baptized in May of 1922, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City and confirmed in March of 1936. Anna was united in marriage to Quintin E. Glynn on November 22, 1941, in Clara City. Quintin passed away on January 19, 1978. She worked for the Home Health Aid in Chippewa County from 1955 until 1985. She was also the first woman to serve as a Chippewa County Commissioner from 1978 to 1982. Anna was united in marriage to Ben Ulferts on July 2, 1983, at Bunde Christian Reformed Church. Ben passed away on June 8, 1998. She enjoyed card clubs and reading.Anna passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Abbott Northwest Hospital in Minneapolis. She was 87 years of age.She is survived by her children: Loretta Glynn of St. Paul; Quintin (Zella) Glynn of Middleburg, Florida; Charles Glynn of San Francisco, California; and Douglas Glynn of Florissant, Missouri; seven grand children; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; seven step children: Jan (Gary) Boe of Redwood Falls; Laura (Ralph) Babcock of Sunnyvale, California; Curt Ulferts, Marsha (Jeff) Johnson; Steve (Jill) Ulferts all of Clara City; Renae (Dana) Allen of Little Canada and Tammie (Sheldon) Schmiess of Baker; 18 step grandchildren and ten step great grandchildren; She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Qunitin in 1978, husband Ben in 1998, daughter Patricia Hauser; and three brothers: Marvin, Clarence and an infant boy.
