Ann Louise Yackley was born February 22, 1950 in Canby, Minnesota the daughter of Seymour and Helen (Brandt) Lofthus. After a courageous battle with cancer and with her family by her side, she passed away at her home on Wednesday March 28, 2012. Ann was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church in Madison and confirmed at Nicolai Lutheran Church in Canby. She was raised in the Canby area, receiving her education there and graduating from Canby High School. Ann was united in marriage to James Yackley at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Canby. To this union two children were born. Ann was a very supportive military wife. She started in the bakery at a young age, and then worked as a dental assistant, cook, classroom assistant, care giver to many, daycare provider and an active member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church. God's great gift to Ann, of the many, was her ability to quickly become a special friend; a relationship that fostered loyalty, communication, laughter, sharing and strength for daily living. God blessed be your memories. Ann is survived by her husband James Yackley of Montevideo; daughter: Beth Yackley of Canby; son: Todd Yackley of Montevideo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Seymour and Helen Lofthus.
