Angeline Janssen

March 5, 1919 — April 12, 2013

Angeline Margerate Janssen was born on March 5, 1919, in Bejou, MN, the daughter of Benjamin and Anna (Uttermark) Janssen. She was baptized on August 20, 1922 in Bejou and confirmed on March 25, 1934 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City.Angeline attended school in Maynard and following her graduation, she attended beauty school in New York. She returned to this area, residing in Montevideo for a short time, then moving to Hopkins, MN. While in Hopkins, Angeline worked as a hairdresser. She retired in 1984 and moved back to Montevideo. After her retirement, she engaged in her lifelong interest of buying and selling antiques. She sold antiques in both Dawson and Montevideo for many years.Among her other pastimes, Angeline enjoyed golfing, spending time with her friends at the Montevideo Golf Club, bowling and staying active in Our SaviorÂ?s Lutheran Church. Angeline was a woman of strong faith and independence. She always prided herself in her appearance and personal fortitude. In the early morning hours of Friday, April 12, 2013, while a resident of Luther Haven Nursing Home, Angeline was peacefully called to her LordÂ?s heavenly kingdom. She was 94 years of age. She is survived by her sisters- Bernice Davids of Clara City and Irene Jacobson of Montevideo; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Preceding her in death were her parents; six brothers and one sister.
