Andrew Coulter, 43, of Montevideo, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the Avera Marshall Regional Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 4th at 11:00 am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4 to 6 pm at the St. Joseph Catholic Church and continue one hour prior to the service on Thursday. For those attending please dress in Minnesota Twins attire.

Andrew “Andy” Scott Coulter was born January 29th, 1981, the son of Wayne & Diane (Harguth) Coulter in Montevideo. He graduated from MACCRAY High School with the Class of 1999. He continued his education at Ridgewater College in Willmar with an Associates of Arts Degree, Canby where he received his Electrical Degree and then finished with his degree in Sports Management and Marketing at U of M – Mankato.

Andy was united in marriage with Kari Johnson on April 25, 2009. To this union, three boys were born: Evan, Lane and Nolan. Andy’s greatest joy was watching his boys in their activities. He also loved taking them in the boat, untangling lines, taking fish off and telling fishing stories. He never passed a lure that he didn’t need, evident by the 4 boxes of lures that have shown up at the house since his passing.

Andy began his career at KDMA Radio Station working his way up to General Manager. Due to his health, he left KDMA and began working as the Executive Director at CEI in Montevideo. Andy volunteered his time and talents to the VFW and American Legion as his way of giving back to the Veterans. He was also very active in Montevideo and surrounding communities.

He is survived by his wife, the boys; Fur baby Rosie; father Wayne Coulter of Maynard; brothers: Mitchell of Fargo and Aaron of Maynard; in-laws Dale & Janis Johnson; brother-in-law Braden (Emma) Johnson of Alexandria and sister-in-law Kaylee (Chris) Enger of Moorhead; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Diane, grandparents: Merle & Marie Harguth and Ralph & Lela Coulter and his brother-in-law Cody Johnson.
