Amy Hagen, age 48, of Granite Falls passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 3:12 PM at the Olivia Restorative Care Center in Olivia, Minnesota. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls. Burial will be at Granite Falls City Cemetery followed by a luncheon at Levi’s Blue house.
Amy Kristine Hagen was born August 9, 1975 to Dale and Lorraine (Fossan) Hagen in Granite Falls, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in her faith at Granite Falls Lutheran Church. Amy graduated from Granite Falls High School.
Amy enjoyed her job as a home healthcare aide. When Amy moved to Montevideo she was blessed with three children, Cole, Taylor, and Eva. She became a stay-at-home mom and loved the time she got to spend with her kids. She was a proud and loving mother and grandma.
Amy was a kindhearted, cheerful, and strong-willed person. She was often found cooking and baking and liked sharing what she made with her friends. Amy was also a talented crocheter and quilter, making many things for those she loved. She enjoyed collecting many different knick knacks, books, rocks, crosses, and butterflies, and none of it was junk to her!
Amy liked to spend her time outdoors, whether it was fishing, camping, or gardening. She had quite the green thumb for flowers and vegetables. Amy was a good daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed by her children, Cole Schulte, Taylor (fiancé, Jackie Moen) Schulte, Eva Schulte; mother, Lorraine Tebben; step-son, Zach (Brenna Sherod) Schulte); grandchildren, Derek, Willa, Violet, Leland, Easil, Jazzy, Jessa; sisters, Debbie Fossan, Kathy (Bob) Balfany, Laurie Hagen, Susie (James Blue) Hagen, JoAnn (Gary) Hildahl, Sharon Hagen; special friends, Prairie Carlson, Krissy Timm, Gina Stiffen; as well as several nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
Amy is preceded in death by her dad, Dale Hagen; step-dad, John Tebben; and step-daughter, Casey Schulte.
