Alexander Grengs

Alexander John Grengs was born May 12, 1942, the son of Joseph & Cunigunda (Anthony) Grengs, in Clarkfield, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Leo Catholic Church. Alex attended school in St. Leo, Clarkfield and graduated from the Canby High School in 1960.
Alex was united in marriage with Diane Benson on October 26, 1963, in the Dawson at St. James Catholic Church. He was employed with Swift, Culligan, Crosby Construction and McLaughlin & Shultz. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Alex passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at the Luther Haven Nursing Home. He was 75 years of age.
He is survived by his children: Steven (Lisa) Grengs of Maple Grove, Debra (Ken) Rhode of Montevideo and Julie (Kevin) Rhode of Montevideo; grandchildren: Andrew (Sara) Grengs of Duluth, Brett Runia of Montevideo, Kortney Rhode of Minneapolis, Shawn Grengs of Buffalo, Jennessa (Leif) Runia-Bade of Northfield, Alissa Runia of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Jarrett Rhode of Montevideo; siblings: Ron Grengs, Janice Grengs, Janet Breyfogle, Mary Kuchera, Anna Josephson, Danny Grengs, Louella Grengs, Linda Grengs, Adeline Grengs and Joseph Grengs Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Joan Sik, Elaine Felix, Arnold Grengs and Rosella Grengs. Blessed by his memory.
The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Hospice.
