Alan Day

Alan Bruce Day was born on October 16, 1955, in Randolph, VT, the son of Robert E. and Margaret J. Day. He attended schools in Randolph and graduated from RUHS in 1973. As a young boy, Alan was active in the Boy Scouts of America and maintained his love of the outdoors all of his adult life.Prior to moving to Granite Falls, MN, Alan was a travel consultant and managed Winter Park Travel, Inc. in Winter Park, CO. For the past ten years, Alan was employed by Prairies Edge Casino & Resort as a Revenue Auditor in the Finance Department. His hobbies included camping, white water rafting, photography, and playing his guitar for friends. Alan was an avid reader and enjoyed hiking and bird watching in Renville County Park and the Upper Sioux State Park.Alan was called from this life at his Granite Falls residence on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the age of 56 years. Surviving family include his father Robert of Braintree, VT; his siblings- Brian (& Carol) Day of Mesa, AZ, Kathleen MacAskill of Randolph, VT and Kristine Day of Braintree, VT; extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret. Blessed be his memory among us. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
