Mary Larson

Mary Ethel Larson was born March 3, 1921 in Granite Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Francis and Mary Embree. She passed away March 31, 2011 at her home as a resident of the Henry Hill Apartments in Granite Falls, Minnesota.Mary was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. She grew up and attended school in Granite Falls, Minnesota.On October 24, 1939 she was united in marriage to Alton Larson at the St. Andrew Catholic church parsonage. Their union was blessed with four children.Mary was a past president and member of the V.F.W. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, visiting with friends, and was an avid Minnesota Twins fan. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and was very proud of her Irish heritage. Mary retired from Rodgers Hydraulics after 20 years of faithful employment.Mary is survived by her daughter: Eileen Anderson of Princeton, Minnesota; son: Francis (Sherry) Larson of Negaunee, Michigan; grandchildren: Kenneth Zaske II, Doreen (Steve) Nelson, Mark Anderson, Bruce Anderson, Amy (Ben) DonCarlos, Jay (Billi) Larson, Jill Larson, Kim (Kurt) Ronn, Kelli (Bruce) Crookham, Kristin (Nash) Soli; and 15 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband Alton in 1990, parents: Francis and Mary; son: Alton Larson; daughter: Deanna Karlson; son-in-law: Russell Anderson; and seven siblings.
