Joyce Black, 63, of Sacred Heart, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022, at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 2 pm at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Saturday.
Joyce Ann Black was born January 19, 1959, the daughter of Connel & Shirley (Warren) Willis in Kentucky. She attended school in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
Joyce met Kem Black in 1986. The couple loved doing life together and outside of work, you rarely saw one without the other. On St. Patrick’s Day in 1999, Joyce was united in marriage with Kem. She enjoyed riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle and camping. She also loved gardening, was a horse enthusiast and socialite.
Joyce is survived by her daughters: Sabrina Hagen and Katerina Penske; son Jericho Housman; grandchildren: Cheyenne (Brandon) Kral, Aerial Hagen, Zandra Hagen, Tristen Young, Logan Young, Natahlia Raasch, Dominic Raasch, Orin Carey & Drala Carey, her father Connel (Helen) Willis; siblings: Judy Geron Campbellsville, KY; Connel “Chuck” Willis II of Clarkson, KY; Clifton (Jill) Willis of Jacksonville, FL; Melinda (Doug) Warriner of Diamond, IL; Debbie (Rod) Overstreet of Campbellsville, KY; uncle Nelson “Spider” (Kay) Willis; aunts: Esther Cox and Geneva Roution and several extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kemmer, mother Shirley Warren and sister Loretta.
