Delores Erickson

Delores L. Erickson, of Brooklyn Center, formerly of Appleton, MN passed away at North Memorial Hospital on Tuesday November 6th 2012 at the age of 91. Delores was born in Big Bend March 19, 1921 to James and Mary Volgerson. Delores graduated from Appleton High School in 1939. She married Lloyd J. Erickson March 19, 1941, on her birthday at Big Bend parsonage. Delores lived around the Milan, Appleton area most of her life. In 1970 they moved to Brooklyn Center Mn. She is Survived by her children, Richard (Sandi) Erickson, Montevideo MN, Ginny Woodward, Brooklyn Park MN, David (Karen Whitehead) Erickson, Rapid City SD, Barb (Mike) Golden, Alexandria MN, Tom (Carmen) Erickson, Ramsey MN, Laurie Erickson; Menomonie Wisc. Grandchildren, Lance (Lisa) Erickson , Kevin (Jill) Erickson, Dawn (Dean) Mork, Dedra Woodward, Jeff Golden, Pete Golden, Heidi Beckendorf, Rob (Mary) Erickson, James (Jennifer Stuart) Erickson, Jesse and Taylor Erickson; great-grandchildren, Marti and Molli Erickson, Megan and Jack Erickson, Josh Mork, Ellie Woodward, Thomas and Hunter Erickson; sister, Marion Schaffer; sister-in-law, DeAnne Volgerson, and many nieces & nephews. Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, in 1979; sisters, Irene, Gladys and Florence; brothers, Nelvin, Floyd and Russell. Interment will be at Crystal Lake Cemetery. Visitation Friday, 11/9/12, 5:00-7:00 PM at Crystal Lake Chapel and Funeral Home 3816 Penn Ave N. Mpls,MN. Saturday, 11/10/12, 11:00 AM Service at Hope Lutheran Church, 5200 Emerson Ave N., Brooklyn Center, visitation one hour prior to service on Saturday at church.
