Ann Rachel Stevens, 79, of Granite Falls, died Thursday, August 1, 2013, at the St. Cloud Hospital. She was born May 14, 1934, the daughter of Rowland and Gertrude (Branum) Norman, in Montevideo. She was baptized and confirmed at Saron Lutheran Church. She graduated from Granite Falls High School with the Class of 1952, which continues to meet yearly for a reunion luncheon. Ann was united in marriage to Allard Stevens on March 15, 1981, at Granite Falls Lutheran Church, truly a match made in heaven. She was a member of Quilters Along the Yellowstone Trail, Red Hats, and many Norwegian lags and organizations. She enjoyed walking with the KCC Golden Grands and attending as many of her grandchildren's activities as possible. She was a hospice volunteer, a donor, and described herself as a friend to all. She is survived by her husband Allard, children: Susan Hamre (Martin Keller) of Minneapolis; Robert Hamre of Richfield; Marilynn (Mick) Mohrlant of Oakdale; Sandra (Derrald) Meyer of Plymouth; Sharon (John) Stampson of Longville; grandchildren: Tony, Alex, Zach, Kim, Kent, Kirk, Ashley, Andrew, Siri, Isak, Teddy, Anna, Erica, Jessie and Keelia; 15 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; two brothers: Richard (Gloria) Norman of Rochester and David (Kaye) Norman of Redwood Falls, and several nieces, nephews and extended family and many, many friends.
